FIRST AID FOR TEACHERS AND CARERS:
This unit of competency satisfies all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management, and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Service. During the course you will be will be educated with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to any infant, child or adult. This includes the use of all three (3) Mannequin types during the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) session of the course to provide Emergency first aid Education Care, and apply a team approach.

REFRESHERS FOR ANAPHYLAXIS AND ASTHMA

All schools and childcare providers are required to have staff trained in Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Awareness and to ensure a trained First Aider is immediately available at all times – in the classroom, on the playground, camps and on exertions.
Family Day Care providers need to ensure that all staff members are certified in both Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
Upon completion of an Asthma and Anaphylaxis course with First Aid Courses and Training (FACT) you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. This recognised statement of attainment fulfils the requirements for Asthma and Anaphylaxis management within the education and care settings (workplace).

This Advanced Resuscitation Course completed with First Aid Courses and Training (FACT), will provide you with the skills and knowledge to manage a casualty by utilising your CPR skills and using resuscitation equipment for example - oxygen and a defibrillator.
This course is suitable for divers, island and shipping staff and nurses working in remote areas as well as anyone requiring an advanced resuscitation certificate for work.
First Aid Courses and Training (FACT) is one of the only local registered training organisations offering advanced resuscitation training.
TOPICS INCLUDED IN THE SESSION:
Duration is 3.5 - 5 hours

LOW VOLTAGE RESCUE (LVR)
Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel (also known as LVR) course with First Aid Courses and Training (FACT), will provide you with the skills and knowledge to manage a casualty involved in a perform rescue from a live LV panel. This is important for electricians and their crew. Should an emergency situation occur in the workplace where the casualty requires CPR, you or your employees will have the lifesaving skills to manage the situation until emergency services arrive.

ADVANCED FIRST AID
First Aid Courses and Training (FACT) is amongst a few training providers offering Advanced First Aid Training in Qld. This two-day program will give participants extra skills and knowledge to provide a higher level of first aid care. The course covers skills and information required to provide an advanced first aid response, to provide life support, to provide management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a variety of circumstances for example: in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical assistance.
Assessed is through the demonstration of practical skills, participation in role plays, analysis of case studies and a written questions.
